      The NHIA suggests that new workers in the workforce download the NHI APP and use the App's E-Counter to check for repetitive enrollments in insurance.

      In order to avoid repetitive enrollments as the insured and a dependent at the same time, the regional divisions of the NHIA will check people's enrollment status every month and proactively cancel their dependent status if they have had two enrollments as the insured and dependent at the same time for over 3 months. The NHIA will return the premiums of the dependents to the insured through the previous insured unit.

      People are encouraged to check their enrollment records on E-counter/ Personal Inquiry and Settings/Search Enrollment Records on the NHI APP, in order to avoid repetitive enrollments and repeated premium collections, and even for an early refund.
