1.Those insured through their employers
Employers will directly withhold from employees' paychecks the amount the insured must contribute toward their insurance premium and pay it on their behalf to the National Health Insurance Administration.
2.Those insured through unions and farmers' and fishermen's associations
These individuals must pay the amount owed for the premiums directly to their insurance registration organization, which then is required to transfer the sum to the National Health Insurance Administration.
3.Those who are unemployed and are insured through local administrative offices You can make payments at your convenience using the following methods:
(1) Bank transfer
You can go to a financial institution designated by the National Health Insurance Administration to set up an automatic transfer account from which monthly premiums will automatically be deducted.
(2) In person
You can take your NHI premium bill to any bank authorized by the National Health Insurance Administration to collect premiums and pay it there.
(3) Convenience stores (transaction fee is required)
You can take your NHI premium bill to any 7-Eleven, Family Mart, Hi-Life or OK convenience store around the country and pay it there. (Maximum payment allowed at convenience stores is NT$30,000)
(4) Automated Teller Machines (ATM) for payment transfer (transaction fee is required for inter-bank transfer)
You can use any automated teller machine (ATM) with an automatic interbank money transfer label to pay premiums.
