How to calculate the length of the stay?

In order to enroll in the NHI, the examples of how to calculate “the stay in Taiwan for 6 months” are as follows:
Examples:

1. Case one
Mr. A arrived on February 1st. He did not leave Taiwan during the stay.
The date for his duration of stay in Taiwan reaching 6 months is on August 1st.
Mr. A is eligible to enroll in the NHI on August 1st.

2. Case two
Mr. A arrived on February 1st. He left Taiwan for 10 days from March 1st to March 11th. Mr. A arrived again on March 11th.
The date for his duration of stay in Taiwan reaching 6 months is on August 11th.
Mr. A is eligible to enroll in the NHI on August 11th.

3. Case three
Mr. A arrived on February 1st. He left Taiwan for 10 days from March 1st to March 11th. Mr. A arrived on March 11th. Mr. A left Taiwan again for 50 days from April 1st to May 20th.
Mr. A arrived in Taiwan again on May 20th. He did not leave Taiwan thereafter.
The starting date to calculate his duration of stay in Taiwan is May 20th. Therefore, the date for his duration of stay in Taiwan to reach 6 months is on November 20th.
Mr. A is eligible to enroll in the NHI on November 20th.

4. Case four
Mr. A arrived on February 1st. He left Taiwan for 10 days.  Mr. A arrived again on March 11th. Mr. A left Taiwan again for 20 days from April 1st to April 21st.
Mr. A arrived in Taiwan again on April 21st.
The starting date to calculate his duration of stay in Taiwan is March 11th. The date for his duration of stay in Taiwan reaches 6 months is October 1st.
Mr. A is eligible to enroll in the NHI on October 1st.
