Cooperating with the Veterans Service Offices (VSOs) of the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan regions, the NHIA Southern Division helps unemployed veterans or dependents of deceased veterans, when applying for the veteran certificate or the representative certificate of dependents of deceased veterans for the first time, pick up the certificate and enroll in NHI under Category 6, Item 1 all at the same time. The process only requires electronic data exchange between institutions to complete the delivery process. It is estimated that 1,500 veterans and their dependents will benefit each year.
