The Home Health Care Integration Program implemented by the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) has been in effect for 7 years. Since 2019, Traditional Chinese Medicine and pharmacy services have been included in the program, along with strengthened integration of discharge plan services and complementary measures for transitioning to home health care and the Long-term Care Plan 2.0. Currently, there are 15 hospitals and 7 home health care facilities participating in the program in Penghu, with a total of over 1,000 cases last year.

Many people living in Penghu who require home health care or long-term care have benefited from this program, as their health needs are ensured through the regular services provided by participating healthcare providers.

Meanwhile, for people with disabilities or those who face difficulties in going out for health care due to diseases, they can search for home health care facilities via the NHIA website. They can also call the 1966 hotline for local long-term health care services.
