The National Health Insurance (NHI) is a compulsory insurance that the insured person must enroll in the NHI via the designated group insurance applicant. Those who recently changed jobs must contact and make sure the new employer will take over the enrolment process for them and their dependents. Those who are in between jobs, are not members of any occupational union, Farmers’ Association, or Irrigation Association, and are not eligible to be enrolled as a dependent must enroll via the village (township, municipal, or district) administration offices of their registered domiciles; the starting date of the enrolment must retrace back to the termination date of the previous job.

For those who are in between jobs and are not eligible to enroll as a dependent, the NHIA offers a time-saving and convenient way to enroll in the NHI program. With the NHI APP, the enrollment process can be done from the comfort of their own homes.
