On April 8, the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) publicly recognized 37 outstanding Agricultural and Fishery Associations, including the Puzi City Agricultural Association of Chiayi County, to express their gratitude. In recent years, Agricultural and Fishery Associations in Yunlin County, Chiayi County, and Tainan City have been dedicated to providing NHI-related services. Thanks to their efforts, the NHI online filing rate and NHI premium payment rate in this region have exceeded 98%, earning high recognition from the local population.
Since 2021, the NHIA Southern Division has been conducting evaluation activities to select outstanding Agricultural and Fishery Associations based on their NHI-related service performance. Through benchmark learning and experience sharing, these associations have significantly improved the quality of their local services and gained wide recognition. The results of the 2024 "Best NHI-related Services" evaluation have been announced, with the Puzi City Agricultural Association of Chiayi County and the Dongshi Agricultural Association of Yunlin County winning first place in their respective groups for excellence in promoting NHIA affairs and digitalizing NHI-related filing. Moreover, the Anding Agricultural Association of Tainan City has claimed first place in its group for the fourth consecutive year, truly deserving to be the benchmark model for all Agricultural and Fishery Associations in Yunlin County, Chiayi County, and Tainan City.
The NHIA has stated that there are currently a total of 74 Agricultural and Fishery Associations in Yunlin County, Chiayi County, and Tainan City. In addition to developing local agriculture and fishery industries, these associations provide a range of NHI-related services, including enrollment, withdrawal, and assistance for underprivileged populations, benefiting 610,000 farmers, fishermen, and their families. At the same time, the NHIA Southern Division organizes online briefing sessions through social media to share critical NHI-related information and encourage localized services, ensuring the provision of NHI services in remote areas.
