The National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) Kaohsiung-Pingtung Division continues to enhance public service quality by having local farmers, workers, and fishermen's associations assist members with various health insurance tasks. Through evaluations and peer observations, they aim to provide better services. On October 17,791 organizations participated in the year 114 Annual Excellence Awards for Insurance Units in the Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Penghu regions. Sixteen organizations stood out, with the Kaohsiung Catering Workers Association winning first place for its improvements in online claims, promotion of the NHI App, NHI LINE, and Virtual NHI Card services. Additionally, the Niaosong Farmers' Association and Pingtung Traditional Chinese Medicine Service Union were recognized for the 8th consecutive year for their efforts in digitalizing NHI services and promoting key policies.
The NHIA Kaohsiung-Pingtung Division stated that the NHIA is actively promoting digital convenience services, with 791 farmers', workers', and fishermen's associations in the area serving as key points connecting over 950,000 members. Since 2018, the division has launched the "Five Great NHI Services" evaluation to encourage units to enhance their services. Currently, 98% of these units use the "Multi-Certificate Online Insurance System," processing over 270,000 online NHI transactions annually. Additionally, 360,000 members have downloaded the NHI App. The NHIA appreciates the cooperation of the associations in continuously applying digital technology based on public needs, providing smarter and more thoughtful NHI services, and working together to create a sustainable health future.
