According to the results of the latest survey conducted by the National Health Insurance Administration at the end of August, 2014, the public satisfaction rate with the 2nd Generation NHI was 79.8%, while only 16.9% expressing dissatisfaction.  Also, the public satisfaction rate in the medical services provided by NHI-contract healthcare providers stayed 90%.  During the recent years, the NHI public satisfaction rate has remained around 80%, making it one of Taiwan’s most popular public programs.

In addition, in 2013 the NHIA began promoting “PharaCloud” program, a cloud-based medication record system, allowing doctors to immediately search for the last three months' medication records when seeing a patient while also helping to reduce duplicate medications.  85.8% of the respondents agreed that the healthcare providers should cooperate with this policy, and as well as 97.6% said that they would be willing to wait an additional 1-2 minutes for the doctor to confirm medication usage.  Also, 94.1% of the respondents of this survey indicated that they would be willing to use the Internet to check their health condition and medical records.  The NHIA is currently planning a project ”My Health Bank” which will be launched by the end of the year.  People may go online and use identity verification to check their health information.

The NHIA conducts surveys each year in order to learn the public opinions, cares for the disadvantaged, and adopts people's opinions of medical quality and service into the planning and implementation of the National Health Insurance.  Therefore, people’s rights and interests can be ensured.
