The National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) launched My Health Bank V2.0 online today, and in contrast to V1.0, this updated version contains five newly added functions as follows: Health information is displayed in the form of diagrams to enhance readability; the information covers a period of three years, as opposed to the one to two years provided by V1.0; health information is applied to provide disease management services such as consolidating test/examination results to provide liver cancer prognosis and end stage renal disease (ESRD) evaluation; educational guidelines are incorporated to improve public understanding of health-related issues; simple search function is included, allowing users to log into My Health Bank without needing to insert their NHI card as long as their cards are registered and valid. These functions substantially improve user convenience.

My Health Bank serves to provide NHI users with their personal information, enable users to exercise their right to know their health care information, and ultimately enhance measures that increase the convenience for users to manage their own health. Since it was launched online on September 25, 2014, and by July 10, 2016, 1.21 million people had downloaded. This innovative online service integrates approximately 600 million sets of health-related data collected by multiple government agencies and institutions over a period of one year. With this service, beneficiaries can simply use the Internet and their Citizen Digital Certificate or ID number to apply for My Health Bank account and immediately download their health care information to effectively manage their own health or provide it to physicians when they seek medical attention from multiple hospitals.
