On Nov 11, 2021, NHI Kaoping Division held a ceremony to appreciate craft unions, farmers' associations, and fishermen's associations for their efforts in digitalizing NHI suspension/enrollment services in order to prevent clustering. In a competition, the first place went to Kaohsiung Outside braises trade union.
Since 2018, NHI Kaoping Division has conducted performance evaluations to better serve customers. The targets for evaluation include 785 craft unions, farmers’ associations, and fishermen's associations in Kaoping and Penghu areas. The purpose of conducting performance evaluation is to encourage insured units to offer better services for members. To combat the COVID-19 pandemic, NHI Kaoping Division implemented NHI digitization in collaboration with craft unions, farmers’ associations, and fishermen's associations to provide online services that avoided physical contact.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NHI Kaoping Division took initiative in facilitating digitalization and mobile services. Currently, there are more than 1.05 million insured people in the area, and 97% of the insured units have applied for NHI services online in 2021, ensuring that members receive accurate and timely services. Additionally, in order to ensure easy access to the NHI information and services, the NHIA has created an insured units line group in July, 2021. It is expected that craft unions, farmers’ and fishermen’s associations can collaborate with the NHIA to help expanding the service and protect the rights and interests of the insured.
